Let’s face it, no other city can compete with the wide variety of world-renowned shows, concerts, and events in Las Vegas. Known as the entertainment capital of the world, there are so many things to see and do in Sin City that you might find yourself spoilt for choice!

In addition to a wealth of ongoing events, from acrobatic performances to death-defying stunts, there are a few stand-out shows you won’t want to overlook. Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present 5 of the newest and most anticipated events taking place in 2017.

1. Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque

If you’re still longing for the Prince of Pop, the Michael Jackson show developed by Cirque du Soleil could be the perfect entertainment solution. In this brand-new creation, four protagonists explore MJ’s world of music and imagination, each wearing an iconic piece of Michael Jackson’s wardrobe: the glove, the shoes, the sunglasses, and the hat.

Throughout the performance, visitors will get glimpses of Michael Jackson both visually and auditorily. Thanks to GPS trackers, video images appear everywhere even on the performers themselves. The surprises continue throughout the event, culminating in the illusion of Michael Jackson dancing alongside the cast during a performance of “Man in the Mirror”. Show dates are now ongoing at the Mandalay Bay Theatre.

2. Elton John: Million Dollar Piano

Named after the custom-made Yamaha that he plays during the concert, Elton John’s Million Dollar Piano show is a celebration of one of the most well-known and beloved performers in the world. The piano itself took Yamaha four years to build, but it’s the smooth tones and magic fingers of Elton John that work to make it so special.

With tickets available up to May 5 at Caesar’s Palace, this show has something for everyone. From spectacular visual effects, to the phenomenal music of Sir Elton himself, it promises to be an unforgettable night. Joining Elton will be: Matt Bissonette on bass, Kim Bullard in keyboards, Davey Johnstone on guitar, Nigel Olsson on drums, and John Mahon on percussion. Ray Cooper is also scheduled to make an appearance.

3. Classic Cher

A show-stopping Diva who has been continually changing the world of music for decades, Cher will once again be returning to the stage in 2017 for her prolific “Classic” show. During the official press release, the 70-year-old singer said she planned to make this show her best ever, and was excited to be in Las Vegas.

With impressive visual effects, outstanding music, and the familiar sound of the multiple award-winner’s greatest hits, this is sure to be a phenomenal event. You can catch it between May 3 and 20 at Park Theater.

4. Magic Mike Live

Following on from the success of the feature film, Channing Tatum put on his director hat to make Magic Mike a reality, adding new dance numbers to the memorable movie routines. This sexy show is a perfect fit for the indulgence and excitement of Sin City, and it may be the ultimate girl’s night out at the Hard Rock Hotel. If you loved watching it in the theatre, just imagine how incredible Magic Mike would be live!

Although Channing Tatum helped to create the show, he won’t be appearing on stage himself. The starring hunks will more than make up for that, though. Tickets are available between March 30 and December 31, 2017.

5. Britney: Piece of Me

An undisputed queen of Pop, Britney Spears will be showcasing some of her greatest hits at Planet Hollywood during 2017. A show that’s bursting with seductive dance numbers, incredible outfits, and show-stopping visual effects, Piece of Me at the Axis Theatre is a night you won’t forget.

Britney will be performing hits from her newest album, as well as a variety of fan favorites, including “Oops!… I did it again”, “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, and “Toxic”. To embody the theme of each song, the background will constantly change with ever-more exciting on-stage experiences. During “Everytime”, Britney will even be suspended over the crowd as an angel! Tickets are available from March 22 to April 8, 2017.
