Best Golf Courses in the Las Vegas Area

Golf might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Las Vegas, but Sin City has firmly established itself as an international golfing destination.

With nearly 50 courses spread across the greater metro area, there’s something for every budget and ability, and plenty of gorgeous scenery to boot. At Sky Condos, we’ve rounded up our favorite courses for a list that is sure to satisfy all the golf-enthusiasts living in Las Vegas.

Best of the Best: Shadow Creek

Designed by world-renowned architect Tom Fazio in 2008, this ultra-exclusive club ranked No. 16 on Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Courses You Can Play. Verdant hills, carpets of flowers, and clusters of pine trees are all dotted with creeks and waterfalls. With impressive mountain views to top it all off, this course really is a thing of beauty.

To explore this incredible course, you’ll have to book a stay with MGM Resorts International, where you’ll be treated like royalty from the moment you arrive. A private limousine will carry you to and from your appointment, while a personal caddie will greet you and accompany you throughout your game. Be advised: weekend games come at a premium.

High-Tech: Topgolf Las Vegas

Ranked No. 1 on Tripadvisor’s list of Las Vegas courses, Topgolf is an interactive indoor golfing experience you won’t soon forget.

The micro-chipped balls not only track distance and accuracy, but also award points for hitting select targets — so you can work on your game solo, or get some healthy competition going with friends. The club also boasts 107 climate-controlled bays, over 200 HD screens, 5 bars, and 2 pools among its many stellar amenities.

Affordable: Wildhorse Golf Club

With some of the best prices around — at just $35 during the week — and courses for all ability levels, Wildhorse has plenty to offer anyone looking to play a casual round of golf.

One of the first courses to be built in Southern Nevada, this golf club was a former PGA stop and is one of only three courses in the region to be officially recognized as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. This status will come as no surprise once you arrive and take in the gorgeous layout and mountain vistas.

Convenient: Wynn Golf Club

Perfect for the time-starved business traveler, Wynn Golf Club is the only course directly attached to a resort on the Strip, which means you can fit in a round or two between meetings – even if you aren’t a guest of the hotel. What’s more, with free shoe and club rentals, you won’t have to lug your equipment around if you have places to be afterward.

The convenience does come at a premium, so be prepared to pay a bit more than you would at other courses in the area.

Great for Beginners: Siena Golf Club

With a fairly flat layout that’s rarely found in desert courses, the only hazards you’ll need to avoid at Siena Golf Club are the water and some admittedly challenging bunkers.

The elevation of 3,000 feet will help you beat most of the desert heat, which makes this course ideal for summer. The height also means you’ll get to enjoy stunning panoramic views of the mountains and city lights. And, because this course isn’t attached to a casino on the Strip, you can escape some of the hustle and bustle of the city and focus on your game.

Practice from the Comfort of Your Home

When you live at our luxury condos, you don’t even have to leave home to get your golf fix. You can practice your golf game at our poolside putting green, which means you can work on your handicap as well as your tan. Whether you’re crunched for time during the week, or simply want to build up your skills before you hit the next course on the list, having a convenient putting green at your residence makes it easy to improve your game.
